Achampet: State Minister for Forests, Environment, and Endowments, Smt. Konda Surekha, was accorded a grand welcome at the Achampet Forest Guest House today. The Minister was on her way to Srisailam for the divine darshan of Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy as part of the Maha Shivaratri Brahmotsavams.

Local MLA Dr. Chikkudu Vamsi Krishna met the Minister cordially and extended a warm welcome. Along with the MLA, the District Forest Officer (DFO), forest department officials, and Congress party leaders were present. During the meeting, the MLA discussed the arrangements for the ongoing Bourapur Jatara and the facilities provided for pilgrims traveling through the Nallamala forest. The Minister lauded the coordination between departments in managing the festive rush and ensuring devotee safety.
